Re: New Poetry

Thu Jul 30, 2009, 8:22 PM
I've stopped putting poetry up on DA, mostly because I'm scared 1) of someone robbing my stuff, and taking credit for it, and getting famous in the poetry world, and then I don't know about it, because I don't read that much other stuff, 2) some publishers get their beavers all up in a twist because you've published elsewhere- including the internets. So stupid.

However!

I finally finished the rework of "Dream of Honeysuckle", which is named "Honeysuckle Burning"- sort of a play on Mississippi Burning, which is significant giving the context. And I've been starting to come up with little snippets again of writing. OMG!

Sometimes I think I will be smitten only because I miss writing scads of bad wistful poetry for someone. About someone. Over someone. Don't get me wrong, if I thought about it long enough, I could likely write a lot of melancholy stuff dredged up from nostalgia. In with the new though.

And that's what's new!

Yea. I've got a lot going on, and the writing is just NOT happening. I'm hoping to play with some pictures sometime soon, but first I'd like to take new pics, lol. :)

Thanks for noticing though!!

This week I have special DA privilages, so maybe I'll be around more this week to check this out!
